2018 is here and it’s time for the European Capital of Culture events to start kicking in. The official opening is going to take place in Valletta from the 14th to the 21st January. It’s the ideal time to visit the capital. The traditional Maltese Festa will bring to life the capital’s streets, providing a great start to the V18 opening.
The cultural programme will take place in Valletta and progress to towns and villages around Malta and Gozo. Tourists and locals alike will see Valletta in a new light. The official opening week will bring forth cultural events, music, entertainment, and much more. Events and exhibitions will also take place during the week.
Erba’ Pjazez (Four Squares) will be hosting original spectacles, on the 20th January, every hour at various locations including Triton Square, St George’s Square, St John’s Square and Castille Square.
