The 12th Mechanised Ground Fireworks Festival

Don’t miss out on this big event!

The 12th Mechanised Ground Fireworks Festival is organised by the Floriana Local Council and it happens in conjunction with the Feast of St Publius. The fireworks festival is held in Saint Publius Square in Floriana on Saturday 14th April 2018.

What is the Ground Fireworks Festival?

The Ground Fireworks Festival in Malta is unique in its own way. Ground fireworks are very important in the celebration of a Maltese outdoor festa. There are various fireworks factories around Malta and Gozo and, year after year, they always do their very best to improve on previous structures and mechanisms.

The Ground Fireworks Festival will have 13 competing factories, competing with 2 structures each. All of the factories strive to produce their best work during this festival.

Event Details

The set-up for the Ground Fireworks Festival will commence on Friday 13th April at 10.00am. Everything will be set up in preparation for the big night. You can admire the hard work that the factories produce to put up this grand mechanised festival. The set-up will remain live until late afternoon of the festival day.

The magic will start at 10.15pm on the Granaries (St Publius Square). However, we suggest that you get there early to claim your spot and get the best views. Saint Publius Square is located just outside of the capital city of Valletta. Almost every bus on the island will take you there so you’ll have no trouble arriving at your desired location.

Don’t miss out on this big event! The Ground Fireworks Festival in Malta never disappoints!
